Teaching and Research Interests:

The MEIP Lab has teaching and research interests which are two folds: medical devices and medical image processing.

  1. We offer some facilities for teaching and experiments on medical electronics and medical devices. Students are able to learn the layout of circuits and do some experiments to make small devices.
  2. We offer some personal computers and related software for students to learn medical image processing and PACS. The current image processing researches are:
    • Ultrasounic images(Common carotid arteries plaques analysis). (Co-work with University of Basel, Switzerland and China Medical University Hospital, CMUH)
    • MRA (carotid artery and femoral artery boundary detection).   (Co-work with University of Ulm)
    • CT images (Liver cancers detection). (Co-work with CMUH)
    • Mammograms analysis. (Co-work with CMUH)
    • Artificial Intelligence.
  3. We offer the opportunity for students to better their programming skills.
